“Stuck in Conclusion” es la segunda colaboración de Jared & Hilrant (Jared Estes y Paul Tilley/Hilrant), después del apasionante “Obscure to Reality”.
Sigue la inspiración, la experimentación, la sorpresa. Es un trabajo más oscuro, más afilado, más sicodélico todavía, y un reflejo de que el mundo está tan loco como tú pensabas. Las letras son duras, cínicas, divertidas, poemas de delirios, críticas mordaces y amor loco.
Si escuchas “Fringe Benefits”, “I Am None Of These Things” y luego la gran “Obscure To Reality” te darás cuenta pronto que el camino no es sencillo, que tienes que estar atento y también abierto de mente, que el tren en el que te has subido no lleva a la ciudad o la calle que pensabas, el paisaje cambia, la percepción se distorsiona, todo es posible en la tierra imposible. “”To Get Away From The Sorrow Of It All” es una maravilla, un tesoro de canción. Un lamento con una interpretación llena de alma. Gran aportación lírica de Anna Campbell.
“It’s Hard” y “The Man With The Colorful Eyes” (maravillosa instrumentación y atmósfera) tienen esa combinación de confesiones íntimas y sonidos crudos que te hace pensar y respirar despacio.
Hay folk fiero, hay sicodelia y sonidos de rock duro como si los trabajos más delirantes de Robert Fripp desde Starless and Bible Back se encontraran con The Fall y con la el fantasma de Daevid Allen haciendo diabluras con Green Gartside: “Hold On To Your Life” reúne todas las visiones de ambos músicos hasta convertirse en una pieza maestra, un paso más hacia la imperfecta maravilla eléctrica y furiosa que es este trabajo inmenso.
Al final “The Thief” es la última razón por la cual esta música te asusta, te emociona y te hace sentir vivo. Excelente.
Es asombroso el recorrido musical y la capacidad de trabajo creativo de Jared & Hilrant. El trabajo de guitarras es increíble, tanto las aportaciones rítmicas como los sonidos eléctricos de Jared y Paul. El rango de interpretación de guitarras de ambos es inmenso. La instrumentación, los arreglos, los bajos y las percusiones, los cambios de ritmo, las armonías y las bases de teclado hacen de este un disco magnífico y atrevido, oscuro y genial. La tierra está cuarteada, el mundo se hace pedazos cada día para reconstruirse. El tren en el que viajas va a la deriva. A la deriva la música de Obscure To Reality le da un sentido a todo, lo hace real, la locura es no saber qué será lo próximo.

“Stuck in Conclusion” is the second musical collaboration by Jared & Hilrant (Jared Estes and Paul Tilley/Hilrant),after the exciting "Obscure to Reality".
The inspiration keeps on, the experimentation, the surprise mixing genres and textures, sounds and words. It’s a darker, sharper work, even more psychedelic, and a reflection of the fact that the world is as crazy as you thought. The lyrics and vocals are harsh, cynical, funny, poems of madness and delusions, scathing critiques and l’amour fou.
If you listen to "Fringe Benefits", "I Am None Of These Things" and then the great "Obscure To Reality" you will soon realize that the trip will not be easy, that you have to be aware and also have an open mind, that the train in which you are travelling does not lead to the city or the street you thought, the landscape changes, the perception is distorted, everything is possible in the land of impossible might be possible.
"To Get Away From The Sorrow of It All" is wonderful, a treasure of song. A lament with a soulful great performance, Great lyrical work by Anna Campbell.
"It's Hard" and "The Man With The Colorful Eyes" (such an exquisite instrumentation and atmosphere) have that combination of intimate confessions and raw sounds that makes you think and breathe deep and slowly.
You can find here wild rough folk, fierce and warm acoustic sounds, psychedelic and hard rock sounds as if the sharp Robert Fripp from Starless and Bible Back would have met and faced the music of the Fall and the ghost of Daevid Allen doing tricks with Green Gartside.
"Hold On To Your Life" gathers all the visions of both musicians to become a masterpiece, a further step toward the imperfect sense of wonder and furious thing that is this electric eclectic astonishing work.
At the end –and back to the start- "The thief" is the final reason why this music scares you and moves you and makes you feel alive. Excellence: the musical trip and the ability of creative work of Jared & Hilrant.
The guitars work is amazing, both contributions rhythmic from the acoustic to the electric sounds of Jared and Paul. The range of guitars works of both musicians is immense.
The instrumentation, the arrangements, the bass and percussion, changes of tempo, the harmonies and keyboard backgrounds make this a magnificent and daring record, dark and cool.
Our Earth is cracked, the world becomes in pieces each day to be reconstructed. The train in which you are traveling is adrift. Adrift the music of/from Obscure To Reality gives you a sense of the whole thing broken, makes it real, and madness is not knowing what will be next. May Jared & Hilrant keep on telling us.
