MUSIC AND LITERATURE. VOICE, SONGS AND POETRY. STITCHES

1) Music calms the beast. The beasts have their own rhythm: you wait and see.

2) Literature is an orange. As much as you peel it, each slice is different in size, texture, flavor

3) What is the relationship between pop (or rock) music and literature? You can immerse yourself in the work of the great expressive voices, Jacques Brel, Rikie Lee Jones, Jack Kerouac, John Cale or Van Morrison (from the latter appreciate the immense and unequaled amount of voice intention and delivery in his records: in "Madame George", " Listen To The Lion "," A Sense Of Wonder "," The Healing Has Begun "or" On Hynsford Street "to name a few). Phrases that arise from songs with hidden melodic motifs, when the voice howls and rages, caresses and tenderness, a passion that stops time and does not resemble anything except love, sex, gods, poetry and its raptures , the possibilities of the spirit to deepen the sense of the humankind; whispering, dramatizing, giving to every word its sound and intention, that's all about vocalizing, phrasing, a sauntering voice in the valley of music, to take a walk to the voice.

(You can also read the "Essay on the Jukebox" by Peter Handke, listen to "Shipbuilding" by Robert Wyatt or Elvis Costello, "Dioptria" de Pau Riba, or "Dolores" por Hilario Camacho, or you can simply go down to the subway or the town square and listen to people under 20 years of age singing and playing, people who know that you don't calculate when you believe or believe if you calculate.)

4) Trains do not stop at the Literatura station or the Music station. If you jump, be honest. Either you go on the train or you don't go.

5) The most important thing one has to say does not always proclaim it aloud, writes Walter Benjamin in his Illuminations. The everyday life as impenetrable and the impenetrable as everyday life.

6) The older you get, the more bone percussions and futile returns where you were already. Fluorescent straight lines.

7) The younger you get, the more irrelevant it is to explain what you do. Expressionist curves.

8) The false smiles of marketing are just teeth, as Jack Kerouac would say. The tongue is something else. There are no cages for language, there is no better clapperboard than the absence of a clock.

9) Out of the reasonable circuit, Emily, bless the skidding hours.

10) The voice of experience only says: experiment!

11) All this happens in a foreign country called Becoming.
